We recently had a powerful thunder storm on the Gold Coast. It came in from the west and was full of lightning. It had been building up in the mountains, sucking moisture up from the hills whilst the coast was steaming hot. It finally came through against the prevailing wind and changed everything. After it passed it left this incredible sunset. The atmosphere was alive and everything looked stunning. This is my favourite photo. It was taken with a Nikon D7000, 10-24mm Nikkor lens and tripod. Behind me was an incredible lightning storm, it was hard to know which way to look and will go down as one of the most brilliant sunsets i’ve ever witnessed.
